The uniform that Essex Ambassadors will wear while volunteering at London 2012 Olympic events have been revealed.

Since September 2011, Essex County Council has been working with and volunteer centres across Essex to recruit and select residents from all over the county to become ‘Essex Ambassador’ Volunteers, who will play their part in the London 2012 Games.

Now the impressive purple and pink Essex Ambassador uniform is being launched with over 300 volunteers are on board - 43 people have signed through the Uttlesford Volunteer Centre.

Essex will receive visitors from all over the UK and the world during the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games so these local volunteers have been recruited to be the face of Essex and give a warm welcome to everyone visiting the county during Games time and other celebratory events.
